143.04 ACTING FIRE CHIEF.

In the event that the office of Fire Chief becomes vacant or he is unable to perform his duties for any reason, an Acting Fire Chief shall be appointed by the Mayor to serve until such time as the Fire Chief resumes his duties or a new appointment is made for such position according to law.
