All supervisors may issue a second verbal warning which follows the procedures outlined for First Verbal Warnings above. The supervisor is not required to make a second verbal warning and is reminded that its use is discretionary. If a second verbal warning is given, the supervisor shall detail the date and nature of the infraction in writing and place a written notation of such warning in the employee's personnel file.
