(a) The installation of automated external defibrillators ("AEDs") is required at all physical fitness facilities.
(b) For purpose of this chapter, the term "automated external defibrillator" means a portable electronic apparatus used to counteract atrial or ventricular fibrillation by application of a brief electric shock to the heart and designed to be automated such that it can be used by persons without substantial medical training who are responding to a cardiac emergency.
(c) For purposes of this chapter, the term "physical fitness facilities" is defined as a place of business, whether for profit or not for profit, with equipment and facilities for exercising and improving physical fitness.
