(a) Every structure in the City shall have posted in a conspicuous manner the identifying number thereof which has been assigned by the Building Commissioner. The numerals shall be not less than three and one-half inches in height with proportional stroke width and shall be of a contrasting color to the background. The numbers shall be mounted on the front elevation of the structure in the vicinity of the primary entrance so that it is clearly visible from the public right-of-way.
(b) Every structure having more than five units or suites with rear doors shall have the rear door marked with a portion of the address. For three and four digit addresses, the last two numbers shall be displayed. For five digit addresses, the last three digits shall be displayed. For structures having only one street address, the suite designation shall be displayed. Doors serving more than one suite shall be marked with all of the addresses or suite designations. The numbers shall be not less than three and one-half inches in height with proportional stroke width and shall be of a contrasting color to the background.
