1505.08 DECORATIONS IN NON-RESIDENTIAL OCCUPANCIES.
   (a)    Decorative materials used in all non-residential occupancies shall be either noncombustible or flame resistant, except any material permitted by the Ohio Fire Code (OAC 1301:7) or Ohio Basic Building Code (OAC 4101:2).
   (b)    Natural cut Christmas trees shall not be permitted in assembly, educational, health care, residential boarding and care, institutional, mercantile, hotel, or dormitory occupancies. Living trees in a balled condition with their roots protected by an earth ball are permitted as long as they are maintained in a fresh condition and not allowed to become dry.
   (c)    Christmas trees or other similar decorations shall not obstruct any exit, means of egress, or other exit way.
