Every animal known to have been bitten by a rabid animal, or by an animal suspected of being rabid, shall either be destroyed, claimed, penned or confined in a strong enclosure on the premises of the owner or custodian of said animal, and isolated from all other animals for a period of not less than six months, or shall be confined at a licensed veterinary hospital for a like period of time. The owner or custodian of any such animals shall notify the County Game Warden, in order that the persons charged with the enforcement of this subchapter shall have an opportunity to observe such animal or animals. Animals as mentioned in this section shall include all livestock and domesticated animals.
