(A) A golf cart may be operated only on designated public highways where the posted speed limit is 25 mph or less. No golf cart shall cross any highway at an intersection where the highway being crossed has a posted speed limit of more than 25 mph.
(B) No person shall operate any golf cart on any public highway unless he or she has in his or her possession a valid driver’s license.
(C) Every golf cart, whenever operated on a public highway, shall display a slow-moving vehicle emblem in conformity with VA Code § 46.2-1081.
(D) Golf carts shall be operated upon the public highways only between sunrise and sunset, unless equipped with such lights as are required in VA Code §§ 46.2-1010 et seq. for different classes of vehicles.
(E) The citizens are required to install and maintain one sign on each of the aforementioned highways indicating that golf carts use the road. These signs must conform to the State Department of Transportation regulations for such signs.
