Pursuant to VA Code § 58.1-3731, for the privilege of doing business within the county, there is hereby levied upon each corporation or other entity providing heat, light, and/or power within the county, a license tax equal to 0.5% of the gross receipts accruing from sales to the ultimate county consumer. This section was effective January 1, 2001, at 12:01 a.m.
