§ 155.16 DISAPPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR BUILDING PERMIT BY BOARD.
If the Board of Architectural Review disapproves the application for a building permit in a historic district, it shall promptly transmit a written report stating the reasons for such disapproval to the applicant and the Zoning Commission. In its written report the Board shall make recommendations in regard to an appropriate architectural design, exterior surface treatment, or other appropriate matters to make the application conform to the intent of the historic district regulations. The applicant may then submit an amended proposal for further consideration by the Board of Architectural Review. The Board may work with the applicant for the year following a refusal to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness pursuant to an application that will conform to the intent of the historic district regulations, or seek alternative economic uses for the property.
