(A) Every person and business entity engaged in any business in the city shall be required to apply for and obtain an occupational license from the city before the commencement of business or in the event of a change of business status at a cost of $50. Licensees are required to notify the city of any changes in address, the cessation of business, or any other changes which render the information supplied to the city in the license application inaccurate.
(B) It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to engage in any business, occupation, trade, profession, or other activity for profit, unless exempted herein, in the city without first having applied for and paid the occupational license registration fee herein required. Any law enforcement official of the city is hereby authorized to require the cessation of any business, occupation, trade, profession, or other activity for profit found to be in operation in the city without having procured the occupational license.
