The only duty which the members of said auxiliary police force of school traffic patrol shall be required or authorized to perform shall be as follows:
(A) To patrol certain street crossings designated by the Commission for one hour each school day morning and for one hour each school day afternoon, for the purpose of looking after the safety of all children on their way to and from school;
(B) To control vehicular traffic over any such school crossing while school children are using any such school crossing; and
(C) Each member of said school traffic patrol is authorized and required to take note of any vehicle license number whose driver fails or refuses to obey any traffic signal given such driver by a member of said patrol while on such duty and to obtain a warrant for such offender, as the sole reason for the establishment of said school traffic patrol is the protection of our school children.
