§ 36.026 HIRING.
   (A)   When hiring a police officer the Commission may appoint him to any rank and grade for which the Commission feels him qualified; but once appointed, the employee is subject to the regulations of this plan.
   (B)   The only police position that may be filled outside the pay scale established by this plan is that of Police Chief. A Chief may be hired at whatever salary the Commission feels is warranted by his qualifications, and a Chief hired at a salary outside the pay limits of this plan shall be granted raises at the will of the Commission.
