§ 36.005 DUTY TO COLLECT LICENSE FEES.
   It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police, or his deputies, to cause proceedings to be instituted against any person carrying on business or doing any act for which a license is required, without paying such license. It shall be the duty of the Police Department to inspect and report to the license collector on proper license issued, or absence thereof, and proper display of same. It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to swear out a warrant against any person or persons for violations of the license ordinance upon complaint and notification in writing by the license collector.
