(a) No person shall taunt, tease, torment, beat, strike, torture, mutilate, injure, disable, poison or kill any dog used by the Police Department in the performance of the functions or duties of the Police Department, whether or not such dog is performing duties at the time of the offense.
(b) No person shall interfere with or meddle with any dog used by the Police Department during the course of activities being performed on behalf of the Police Department.
(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
