1511.04 APPROVAL OF BUILDING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS BY FIRE CHIEF.
   (a)    It shall be the duty of the Fire Chief, or a member of the Fire Division who is a State certified Fire Safety Inspector, to inspect all construction plans and specifications to determine if the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code are being complied with.
   (b)    The Zoning Inspector shall not issue a zoning permit until the owner has submitted two sets of construction plans and specifications to the Fire Chief for review as set forth herein.
   (c)    The Chief, or a member of the Fire Division who is a State certified Fire Safety Inspector, shall inspect the plans and specifications to determine compliance with the regulations relating to fire prevention. Upon review of such plans and specifications they shall be marked "reviewed for fire regulations only" and the Chief shall retain one set thereof in his office and the other set shall be returned to the owner.
   (d)    Such plans and specifications shall be marked "reviewed for fire regulations only" after such plans and specifications have been found to conform to the provisions of the fire prevention codes adopted by the Village pertaining to fire protection, fire safety extinguishment and life safety.
   (e)    When plans are submitted which do not conform with such codes, a list of all violations, with their corresponding code section numbers, shall be written or attached to the submitted plans. The owner of such plans or his representative shall subsequently submit revised plans, addenda or other data to show evidence of compliance with the applicable provisions of such codes.
   (f)    The construction, erection and alteration of a building or any addition thereto, and the equipment and maintenance thereof, shall conform to plans which have been reviewed. When the Fire Chief finds that work or equipment is contrary to reviewed plans, the owner or contractor shall be notified as to where and in what respect the work or equipment does not conform to the reviewed plans, and the owner or contractor shall be given a specific period of time in which to conform to such plans, and no person shall occupy any building or part thereof until such violations are corrected and reviewed by the Fire Chief.
