(a) This chapter is a technical ordinance and is adopted pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231.
(b) The technical codes referred to in this chapter are for the purpose of prescribing regulations consistent with recognized good practice for the safeguarding of life and property from the hazards of fire and explosion.
(c) There is hereby adopted by reference, as though fully rewritten herein, as the Fire Prevention Code of the Village, the following technical codes: the BOCA Basic/National Fire Prevention Code, Sixth Edition, as published by Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., and Code 101 of the (N.F.i.P.A.) National Fire Prevention Code, known as the Life Safety Code.
