923.02 TAP-IN FEES.
   (a)   Upon proper application to the Director of Public Service and upon payment of the appropriate tap-in fee, connections to the public water supply system shall be permitted.
   (b)   (1)   Except for motels and apartments, the tap-in or connection fees for connection to the public water supply system shall be as follows:

      (2)   The tap-in fees hereinafter set forth shall be enforced in appropriate situations:
         A.   Tap-in fee for a fire line, in addition to any other tap-in fee herein provided, shall be as follows:

   (c)   The tap-in or connection fees hereinafter set forth shall be payable to the Village in addition to any and all charges of any kind made or assessed by the City of Cleveland for water connections of any type. (Ord. 94-1969. Passed 12-16-69.)
   (d)   (EDITOR’S NOTE: Former subsection (d) was repealed by Ordinance 46-1980, passed June 17, 1980.)
   (e)   Council does hereby establish a tap-in fee of twenty-seven dollars and twenty-five cents ($27.25) per lineal foot for abutting property owners who wish to tie into the water line on Brecksville Road south from Wheatley Road to Everett Road, on Wheatley Road from Brecksville Road to Interstate 77, on East Congress Parkway and West Congress Parkway. The Service Director be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to administer the tap-in fee and take all necessary action to collect the fees. (Ord. 64-1994. Passed 10-18-94.)
   (f)   (1)   If the tap-in fee to the Brecksville Road water line exceeds twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), the property owner may be allowed to pay the tap-in fee over a period of five years with interest on the unpaid amount at the rate of ten percent (10%) per annum simple interest.
      (2)   If the amount of the tap-in fee is twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) or less, the property owner shall be allowed to pay the tap-in fee over a period of three years with interest on the unpaid balance at the rate of ten percent (10%) per annum simple interest.
      (3)   In all cases, a property owner desiring an extension contemplated under this subsection shall sign the necessary documents with the Finance Director as approved by the Village Solicitor.
