957.14 INSPECTION; MAINTENANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY.
   After the house connection permit has been issued to the owner, the owner shall notify the Superintendent when the proposed connection is to be installed. Such notification shall not be valid unless made at least four hours prior to completion of the installation of the connection. The Superintendent shall inspect the connection and direct the owner or his agent to make such corrections, alterations or repairs as may be necessary. The connection installed shall not be backfilled until the Superintendent has indicated that the connection is properly installed. The owner shall receive from the Superintendent written acknowledgement of inspection after the connection is properly installed.
   It shall be the responsibility of the owner to properly install the connection and inspection shall not in any way relieve the owner of maintaining, operating and repairing the connection if and/or when required, nor shall the Public Service Director be liable for any damages arising from the installation or use of the connection.
