(a) Each license for a public ballroom granted under the provisions of this chapter shall expire on December 31 of the year issued. The fee which shall be charged and collected by the Mayor at the time of issuing any such license shall be in proportion to the floor space as follows:
Floor space of less than 2, 500 square feet, fifteen dollars ($15.00);
From 2, 500 square feet to 5,000 square feet of floor space, twenty-five dollars ($25.00);
From 5,000 square feet to 6, 500 square feet of floor space, thirty dollars ($30.00);
Floor space exceeding 6, 500 square feet, fifty dollars ($50.00).
(b) For each license granted after April 1 of any year, the fee charged shall be three-fourths of the annual license fee in subsection (a) hereof. All moneys received as license fees shall be paid into the City Treasury and there placed to the credit of the Public Safety Fund.
