(a) No person within the limits of the City of Reminderville shall willfully feed, harbor or entice any dangerous wild animal which would constitute a health risk to humans or domesticated animals.
(b) Such health risk, wild animals include, but are not limited to, rodents, raccoons, opossums, skunks, groundhogs, deer, wild domestic cats, coyotes, wolves or any other animal capable of passing harmful viruses, fungi or bacteria to domestic animals or human beings.
(c) Rabbits, squirrels and wild birds are not considered wild animals in the meaning of this section, and they may be fed within the City providing reasonable efforts are made to avoid access to the feed by animals covered in subsection (b) above.
(d) Whoever violates any of the prohibitions of this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor for the first offense. For the second and subsequent offenses, the violator shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. In addition to any other remedy, the Court may order, at the violator’s expense, that the wild animal be transferred to an appropriate zoological or similar facility. If this is not practical, as an alternative, the Court may order, at the violator’s expense, that the wild animal be humanely destroyed by a qualified veterinarian.
