The duties and responsibilities of the Community Development Committee shall be as follows:
(a) To make recommendations to the Engineer or a representative from the Engineer’s office as to projects needing to be addressed within the City. The Engineer shall prepare bid specifications for all such projects. The Committee shall review all bids and make recommendations to Council as to which projects are feasible during any fiscal year.
(b) To meet on a timely basis to provide the City Fiscal Officer with information concerning bid specifications for refuse hauling and to request advertisement of such bid specifications. The Committee shall review such bids and make recommendations to Council for acceptance and approval.
(c) To assume and perform the duties and responsibilities of the former Cable, Recreation, Storm Water, Utilities and Real Estate Committees.
(d) The Committee shall further oversee projects under its jurisdiction required by the
City
to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of the
City
and its residents.
