(a) The Police Department shall consist of a Chief of Police who shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by Council.
(b) The Police Department shall consist of no more than ten (10) full-time patrolmen and Detective(s).
(c) In addition to the ten (10) full-time patrolmen and Detective(s), the following ranks and positions may be filled by appointment by the Mayor subject to confirmation by Council:
(1) Captain.
(2) Lieutenant.
(3) Sergeant.
(4) Administrative secretary/Clerk of Court.
(d) Full Time Employees.
(1) Work a total of 80 hours during a two week pay period.
(2) All are non-exempt (eligible for overtime) except the Chief of Police.
(e) The Police Department shall consist of no more than five (5) part-time patrolmen.
(1) Part-time patrolmen may work full-time hours during the summer months and at other periods, as needed.
(2) May purchase their own medical and health insurance benefits.
