133.01 APPOINTMENT; TERM; REMOVAL.
   Council may establish the position of City Administrator by ordinance. The City Administrator established under this section shall have those powers provided by Ohio R.C. 735.273. The City Administrator shall be appointed by the Mayor, but shall not take office unless his appointment has been approved by a majority vote of the members elected to Council. The City Administrator need not be an elector or reside in the City at the time of his appointment; however, he shall become a resident of the City within six months after his appointment by the Mayor and confirmation by Council, unless his residence outside the City is approved by ordinance. The City Administrator shall not be an elected official of the City at the time of his appointment or during his tenure in office. The City Administrator shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council and may be removed without cause by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of the members elected to Council; or he may be removed without cause by the affirmative vote of three-fourths of the members elected to Council without the consent of the Mayor. Council may abolish the position of City Administrator by ordinance.
