(a) A limited area sprinkler system of an approved type shall be installed in storage and workshop areas in all portions of structures in business, industrial, commercial or mercantile areas, or residential hotels and multifamily structures occupied for storage, workshop, scrub or similar purposes.
(b) In all storage areas where a domestic water supply is used to supply the automatic sprinkler system and where more than four sprinkler heads are installed, a water flow valve along with an alarm bell and indicating light shall be installed per the specifications of the Fire Department. Where more than nineteen heads are supplied off of one supply line, either a domestic water supply line or a fire line, the system shall be tied directly the Fire Department alarm panel.
