(a) The Building Inspector shall have concurrent jurisdiction with the Fire Chief to inspect the installation of any smoke detector required pursuant to 1505.02. If, upon inspection, a violation of Section 1505.02 is found, the inspector shall issue a written notice of such violation to the owner requiring the owner to conform to Section 1505.02 within thirty calendar days of receipt of such notice.
(b) No owner shall refuse to allow inspection at reasonable times of one and two-family dwellings and multifamily dwelling by a duly authorized City inspector.
(c) After investigating a fire in a one or two-family dwelling or multifamily dwelling that does not contain a smoke detector, the City's investigating authority shall issue to the owner a smoke detection installation order. Failure to comply with such an order within fifteen calendar days of reoccupancy of the premises constitutes a violation of this Chapter.
