Anyone who shall conduct any business in the village without first obtaining the license or permit required under this chapter shall be deemed to have engaged in a fraudulent sale and shall be subject to the penalty as set forth in section 1-4-1 of this code for each such fraudulent sale, and in addition, shall be subject to penalty for operating without a permit. Anyone who shall have obtained the permit by supplying false information or by fraud shall be deemed to have operated without a permit and the penalty therefor and for each fraudulent sale shall apply.
All violations of this chapter shall be deemed to have been made with the authority of the company said merchant, peddler, canvasser or solicitor represents and shall subject the company as well as the individual to the penalty set forth in section 1-4-1 of this code. (1968 Code § 10.03)
