A. Conduct Of Business: A license shall authorize a party obtaining the same to transact the business described in such license in a particular locality in the city. The issuance of a license pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall not entitle the licensee to engage in any business which for any reason is in violation of any law or ordinance of the city or higher authority.
B. Duty To Obtain And Pay Fee: It shall be unlawful for any business to commence, carry on, engage in or continue in the city, any business, trade, occupation or employment upon which a license tax is imposed by the terms and provisions of this chapter and for which a license tax is required to be procured by the terms and provisions of this chapter, without first paying such license tax and procuring such license as provided in this chapter.
