Unless there are no new applicants, no person appointed to a commission of the city shall serve more than two (2) consecutive terms on said commission, regardless of the length of the original term, except:
A. The above provision shall not apply on a four-fifths (4/5) vote of the city council suspending said provision or when a member has been appointed to fill a vacancy with less than one-half (1/2) of the balance of the term remaining to be served; and
B. A member who has served two (2) consecutive terms shall be eligible to serve on a city commission other than the one on which he served two (2) consecutive terms, but in any event may serve on only one commission at a time. (Ord. 791, 1-11-1994)
