9-3-2: NUMBERING REQUIRED:
   A.   Required: All entrances from public streets to buildings within the hereinafter described area shall be numbered as in this chapter provided, and the building official shall assign building numbers within the hereinafter described area.
   B.   Size Of Numbers: Building numbers shall be legible, of durable construction and not less than three inches (3") high.
   C.   Maps And Records:
      1.   The planning commission shall cause to be prepared maps for use in recording and plotting numbers and, in general, depicting the numbering system.
      2.   The planning commission shall prepare a building number form upon which assigned numbers shall be recorded, a copy of which shall be given to the person requesting same.
      3.   All assigned numbers shall be placed on the numbering maps drawn to scale by the building official. In addition, said official shall maintain a file system of the numbers by some suitable method.
   D.   Date Of Removal And Placement Of New Numbers: After the effective date hereof, the owner or occupants of the building shall, after being assigned a new number, remove the old number, if any, and place the new number on the structure. The removal and placement of a new number thereon shall be accomplished within thirty (30) days after the assignment by the building official or his agents. If the owner and/or occupant fail to do so when required by the city building official, such person shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. 377, 5-4-1965)
