The primary objective of postconstruction stormwater management requirements is to ensure the reduction of pollutant discharges to the maximum extent practicable and preventing stormwater discharges from causing or contributing to a violation of receiving water quality standards in all applicable development projects that require approvals and/or permits issued by the city. Property owners or operators shall ensure long term operation and maintenance of postconstruction stormwater runoff control mechanisms including privately owned retention basins.
