§ 31.34 AUTHORITY TO FURNISH FIRE PROTECTION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS.
   (A)   Authority. The City Council shall have the authority to enter into contracts with property owners, associations of property owners, insurance companies and political subdivisions for the purpose of providing fire protection on property owned, leased or represented by such person, persons organization, residents or citizens of such subdivisions.
   (B)   Payment for protection services. Payment for fire protection outside the city limits shall be the contract rate or a rate prescribed by the City Council. The rate to be charged shall be that which is fixed by the City Council.
   (C)   Protection of city. Fire apparatus shall not be sent to a location outside the city limits if the Fire Chief or other individual in charge of the Fire Department at the time of the call or alarm decided that such apparatus is needed for local services.
