(A) All trenches made under this article, except those in public utility easements, parkways and planting strips, shall be backfilled as nearly as possible to the same compaction as existed prior to excavation and any surplus material shall be removed from the excavation site.
(B) After proper compaction, the top of the trench on surfaced streets or alleys will be resurfaced to the same general condition as existed prior to the work. On those streets or alleys having a concrete surface, paving will be replaced with at least six inches of concrete. Cutting of concrete surface shall be done with a concrete saw. Prior to laying plant mix material the surface to be paved shall be primed with RS-1 liquid asphalt. When, in the opinion of the Public Works Director, it is found to be necessary, paving shall be compacted by means of a mechanical roller and conform to existing street surface in elevation.
(C) The above specifications may be amended from time to time by the City Council by resolution duly adopted.
