§ 2.46 TERMS OF OFFICE; VACANCIES; REMOVAL; QUALIFICATION.
   Members of the Commission shall be appointed by the City Council, who may consider recommendations of the Commission members. Appointments shall be made subject to the following provisions:
   (A)   The terms of all Commissioners, with the exception of the student member, which is an appointment for one year, shall be for three years, and shall expire on December 31.
   (B)   A vacancy on the Commission shall occur when a member's term of office expires or when any member dies, resigns or is removed.
   (C)   A member may be removed from the Commission by a majority vote of the City Council. A member is disqualified and automatically removed from office if he or she is absent from two consecutive meetings of the Commission without the prior consent of the Chair of the Commission. The City Council, it its discretion, may rescind the automatic removal provided herein and reappoint the subject member to the Commission.
