For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GENERALLY. The definition of any term used in this division not otherwise herein defined shall be the same as the term is defined and described in the Vehicle Code of the state.
HOLIDAY. Any day designated as such in California Government Code §§ 6700 and 6701. Saturday afternoon shall not be considered a holiday for the purposes of this division.
PARK or PARKING. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporary, for the purpose of and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading passengers or merchandise.
VEHICLES. Any device in, upon, or by which any person or property may be transported upon a street or highway, except those operating upon rails or tracks.
