The proceeds of the tax imposed by this chapter shall be deposited in the General Fund of the city. The proceeds of this tax may be used for police and fire staffing, replacement of police and fire equipment, the enhancement of recreation and parks, and any other lawful municipal purpose. The tax does not meet the criteria established by § 1(d) of Article XIII C of the California Constitution for special taxes, and is a general tax imposed for general government purposes.
