(A) The 2022 Edition of the California Mechanical Code, known as the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 4, incorporating the Uniform Mechanical Code, 2022 Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), and the non-building administrative regulations are adopted by reference as the Mechanical Code of the city, except as amended with findings in Articles V
and VI
of this chapter. A copy of the code is maintained in the Office of the Community Development Director or designee (Community Development Official (Building Official)) for examination and use by the public.
(B) The following appendices are adopted:
(1) Appendix A (Residential Plan Examiner Review Form for HVAC System Design);
(2) Appendix B (Procedures to be Followed to Place Gas Equipment in Operation);
(3) Appendix C (Installation and Testing of Oil (Liquid) Fuel-Fired Equipment);
(4) Appendix D (Unit Conversion Tables);
(5) Appendix E (Sustainable Practices); and
(6) Appendix F (Sizing of Venting Systems Serving Appliances Equipped with Draft Hoods, Category I Appliances, and Appliances listed for use with Type B Vents).
