The purpose of this schedule chapter is to inaugurate the government of the City under this Chapter and shall constitute a part of this Charter only to the extent and for the time required to accomplish this end.
RESOLUTION OF ADOPTION BY
THE CHARTER COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF READING, MICHIGAN
At a special meeting of the Charter Revision Commission of the City of Reading held on the 12th day of July, 2000 the following resolution was offered by Charter Revision Commission of the City of Reading.
RESOLVED, that the Charter Revision Commission of the City of Reading hereby adopts the foregoing proposed Charter for the City of Reading, and approves the Charter for publication in the newsletter of the City of Reading and submission to the voters of the City for their consideration. The Clerk of this Commission is directed (1) to transmit four copies of this Charter to the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Michigan for approval in accordance with the statutes of the state, and (2) to this day file with the City Clerk - Treasurer a copy of this Charter.

The Chairperson declared the foregoing resolution carried and requested the members of the Charter Revision Council to authenticate said resolution and also the copies of the Charter to be presented to the Governor and filed with the Clerk - Treasurer by signing this Charter.
