(a) It is the duty of the applicant to renew their residential rental dwelling, rooming house or dormitory dwelling property(s) on a two (2) year basis by contacting the Property Maintenance Official prior to the Rental Housing Occupancy Certificate expiring and completing a successful inspection of renewal prior to expiration. If such application and successful inspection is not completed by the month of the expiration date of the current certificate, an additional one hundred dollar ($100.00) fee shall be paid along with the applicable permit fee. The Rental Housing Occupancy Certificate will be revoked due to nonpayment of fees and an additional fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be paid as part of the new application fee, prior to a Rental Housing Occupancy Certificate being granted after reinspection.
(b) If the City of Ravenna discovers that the property is an unregistered rental property, an additional fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be due in addition to all other applicable fees. If payment has not been received within thirty (30) days of notification by the City, and court action is taken to collect the applicable fee(s), an additional fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be required. This fee will be required over and above any court fees that are charged.
