1264.02 MEMBERSHIP; CHAIRPERSON; RECORDING SECRETARY.
   The Board of Zoning Appeals shall consist of seven members, appointed by the Mayor, at least one of whom shall be an attorney-at-law licensed by the State to engage in the practice of law. None of the members so appointed shall be appointed resident members of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the members so appointed shall be residents of the City. The members so appointed shall serve for terms of six years, except that the terms of the members shall be staggered so that three members' terms expire every three years. The members shall be compensated per meeting in an amount as approved by Council. At the first Board meeting in January, the members of the Board shall elect a Chairperson from the membership to serve an annual term. The Chairperson shall appoint a Recording Secretary, who shall not be a member of the Board, and the Recording Secretary shall be compensated in an amount per meeting as approved by Council. The Chairperson and the Recording Secretary shall follow and obey the rules for the conduct of their affairs as are contained in this Zoning Code.
