(a) The Director of Public Service is hereby authorized and directed to assess charges for tap-ins and meter installation for the City. These charges will be adjusted as costs to the City change. Charges will be posted in the office of the City Engineer, Building Department and Utility Billing Office.
Any new service over two inches will be labor and materials plus twenty percent.
A larger size meter is cost, materials and labor plus ten percent.
Outside the City limits, all prices are the same, plus ten percent.
Existing water service lines two inches or less in diameter will hereafter be maintained by the City from the water main to the curb box, as long as the service line is supplying an active water customer. The service line will be repaired or replaced with the same size line, at the option of the Director of Public Service. Said repair or replacement shall include all excavation; backfill repair or replacement parts; replacement of City roadway, curbs and sidewalks; replacement of gravel drives; and seeding of lawn areas. The City shall not be responsible for any costs such as replacement of trees, bushes, sod, private steps or sidewalks, asphalt or concrete driveways or aprons, or any other incidental costs associated with the service line repair or replacement.
Whenever a customer desires a larger service line or an additional service line for the purpose of providing additional water pressure, volume or flow capacity, the customer shall pay all costs associated with the new service line installation or replacement.
(b) A water service inspection fee of $100.00 shall be paid to the City for each water service line.
