626.09 HOMEOWNERS' OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT.

(a) No person shall operate engine-powered or motor-powered lawn or maintenance tools intended for use in residential areas, typically capable of being used by homeowners (such as power mowers, garden tools, riding tractors, power saws, edgers, etc.) except between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

(b) Homeowners outdoor equipment must have mufflers where applicable and be in good working condition.

(c) Subject to the provisions of Section 626.15, whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
