No operator of a vehicle shall make a left turn as follows:
Into any of the streets and alleys enumerated in Section 406.02(a) whereby the vehicle would be proceeding in a direction contrary to that authorized by such section.
Off North Chestnut Street, while northbound, into Locust Lane.
Off East Main Street, while eastbound or westbound, into Hickory Way.
Off West Main Street, while eastbound or westbound, into Cherry Way.
Off Main Street, while eastbound, into Parkway.
