274.01 CERTIFICATION OF CANDIDATES FOR PROMOTION IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

The Civil Service Commission shall certify the top three candidates for any promotional examination given within the Police Department and the Fire Department, and the appointing authority shall have the discretion to fill a position from among the top three candidates certified as having passed the examination.
