260.17 BONDS.
   (a)   Each of the following officers and employees of the City shall give a bond to the City for the faithful performance of the duties of his or her office or position in the sum listed:
      (1)   Bailiff of the Municipal Court, five thousand dollars ($5,000).
      (2)   Each Deputy Bailiff of the Municipal Court, two thousand dollars ($2,000).
      (3)   Finance Director, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000).
      (4)   Income Tax Administrator, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000).
      (5)   Chief Clerk, Income Tax Department, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000).
   (b)   All other officers and employees of the City, except members of the Police Department and the Fire Department and clerks of the Water and Sewer Department, shall be included in a faithful performance blanket position bond in the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
   (c)   All clerks of the Water and Sewer Department shall be included in a faithful performance blanket position bond in the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000).
   (d)   All members of the Police Department and the Fire Department shall be included in any honesty blanket position bond in the sum of two thousand, five hundred dollars ($2,500).
   (e)   The Finance Director is directed to procure such blanket bond coverages from any one or more established bonding companies licensed to issue such bonds in the State, after obtaining proposals therefor from at least three eligible companies, such bonds to be subject to the approval of the Mayor.
   (f)   The individual bonds required by the provisions of subsection (a) hereof shall be written for the term for which the officer or employee is elected or appointed. If no term is stipulated, the bond shall be for three years.
