(a) There is hereby established a non-emergency ambulance service within the Fire Department of the City.
(b) Each ambulance shall be equipped as an advanced life support vehicle.
(c) The charge for each non-emergency ambulance service shall be four hundred seventy-five dollars ($475.00), plus seven dollars ($7.00) per loaded mile. The charges set forth herein shall be billed to the person for whom services are provided.
(d) Proper authorization shall be provided at the time of scheduling.
(e) All funds collected for non-emergency ambulance service shall be deposited to the General Fund.

(f) The Finance Director is hereby authorized to create accounts and appropriate funds for non-emergency transport operations.
