(a) There is hereby established a Law Enforcement Trust Fund to be established by the Finance Director for the deposit of seventy-five percent of all proceeds received by the Police Department from the disposal of forfeited contraband by the Department. The remaining balance of twenty-five percent of all proceeds received from the sale of forfeited contraband seized by the Department shall be deposited in the Portage County Prosecutor's Law Enforcement Trust Fund.
(b) It is hereby established that the proceeds distributed to the Law Enforcement Trust Fund of the Police Department shall be allocated from the Fund by Council only to the office of the Police Department pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2933.43(D)(4).
