§ 34.22 BOND; SALARY, BENEFITS, AND WORK HOURS.
   (A)   Bond. The Municipal Judge shall furnish to the city a bond in the principal amount of $1,000, conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties and the requirements of law relating to money collected, monthly reports, itemized statements, and penalties.

   (B)   Salary, benefits, and work hours.
      (1)   The salary of the Municipal Judge shall increase to $26,400 per year effective July 1, 2010.
      (2)   The Judge shall receive 8 hours of leave each month to be used for vacation, illness, or personal business. A maximum of 40 hours of unused accrued leave shall be carried forward March 1 of each year. Accrued leave over 40 hours shall be forfeited.
      (3)   The Judge shall be entitled to enroll in the same city health insurance plan, offered to other city employees; the city to pay 80% of the premium.
      (4)   (a)   The compensation provided for in this division (B) requires the Judge to be present and keep the Municipal Court open a minimum of 30 hours per week in addition to availability for emergency reasons at all reasonable times.
         (b)   The minimum 30 hours shall take place Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
         (c)   The Judge may keep the Court open additional hours up to a maximum total hours open of 40 hours per week at the discretion of the Judge.
      (5)   The increased compensation provided for in this division (B) shall become effective upon the commencement of the term of office for the Municipal Judge following the election of 3-3-1998.

   (C)   Effective date of amendment or repeal of divisions (A) or (B) above. Any amendment or repeal of division (A) or division (B) above shall not become effective during the term of an incumbent Municipal Judge and may become effective only upon the commencement of the then next term of office following the then next municipal election.
