A planning and zoning commission is hereby established in and for the city pursuant to Idaho Code section 67-6504. Such commission shall consist of five (5) members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by a majority vote of the city council. Members shall be selected without regard to political affiliation and shall serve without compensation; provided however, that actual and necessary mileage and per diem shall be allowed. The planning and zoning commission shall be responsible for carrying out duties assigned by titles 10, 11 and 12 of this code in the manner directed by state law and provisions of this code. The city clerk shall approve and designate a recording secretary to create and maintain records for the commission. (Ord. 451, 7-12-2005)
