The police department is authorized to indicate zones where vehicles shall not be parked when, in the opinion of the chief of police, it is necessary to temporarily prevent the parking of vehicles on any street or portion thereof. The chief of police may designate such zones by the placement, at his direction, of signs, barricades, traffic cones, or officers. It is unlawful for any person to park any vehicle in a zone so designated. (Ord. 410, 1-9-2001)
