It shall be unlawful for any person to store any trash or garbage receptacle within the public right of way of any street or alley, or on any sidewalk or curb within the city, except that such trash or garbage receptacle may be placed within a street or alley right of way for a period of not more than twenty four (24) hours for the purpose of pick up. A violation of this section shall be an infraction and may be handled as a civil assessment in the same manner as parking violations in section 6-5-7 of this code. (Ord. 477, 10-2-2007)
